“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you built against it.” ~Rumi
“If you’re always looking for the next best thing then you’ll never see what’s right in front of you.” ~Dhar Mann
Considering friends as another form of family further inspires you to care for, connect with, and forgive them.
Don’t be someone who’s being healthy, who’s learning, or who’s trying. Be someone who’s healthy, who learns, and who tries. Make these habits a part of who you are rather than a part of your schedule.
“From the Joker’s point of view not only our social institutions but also all the formations of the natural world are seen as games. Be careful of the word game, it doesn’t mean as trivialities because when we say it’s just a game this often means it is just trivial. There can be important games, as when we play the piano or musical instruments we are not necessarily doing something frivolous, but we are playing, and there is something in the nature of all play that is not serious but at the same time may be sincere.” ~Alan Watts
Serious vs Sincere is one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from Watts.
