  1. Someone made the very apt observation that although some people know me as smart I often dumb myself down, definitely keen to move back towards being more rational and my personal favourite using some richer vocabulary…not just to be pretentious but because our language is so rich. How pithy and expressive what you’ve been writing is an inspiration to express more clearly and ‘rationally’. (I don’t know why but I have something against the word rational nowadays which is ridiculous)

  2. I’m glad to hear that, life is a lot manageable when you are. Yeah I have the same feelings towards ‘rational’, humans being emotional creatures are at the best of times still highly volatile. Yet, for all intents and purposes the word fits the point I’m trying to make.

  3. I love how you worded this, as you can tell it has been quite thought provoking for me. 🙂 I think that emotions are highly logical(rational)! In the sense that when a person feels anyway about anything there are very clear reasons hidden away from where the obvious sense can see easily. If only we were all perceptive enough/empathetic enough/self aware enough to understand all of our emotions, then we’d have a more manageable, volatile situation on our hands. Using logic to manage your emotions is certainly highly profitable! I’m trying to dig out abit the distinction between rational though and emotion…emotion is certainly a more direct body sensation, often characterised by physiological symptoms, where as rational thought is usually more associated with that little voice you have chattering away most of the time in your head.
